Motorola is back in news with its new offerings. Since the beginning of the year, we have seen some major launches from most of the flagship companies, but we have not seen any appealing offering from Motorola. But we don’t have to wait for much because Moto is back with its new model, Motorola One Vision. While most of the legacy mobile manufacturers struggled, Motorola is the only company which has still maintained its mark in the market and giving a tough competition to the new entrants in the market. Unlike the previous budget offerings, Motorola One Vision will be a premium offering, and this is the first time that Motorola has stayed away from its G series. But we have to accept that G series phones stand pretty simple and plain, in front of today’s budget offerings from Mi, Oppo or Nokia. As a result, Moto introduced its One Series, and we have already seen Motorola One Power last year. The phone was quite successful in the market, and this has definitely tempted Moto to launch the next one in the series. Motorola One Vision will be priced at Rs. 19,999 and is supposed to be launched in the last week of June.
What is so special about this Motorola One Vision?
It has got a 21:9 format display with a hole punch camera. We can bet this is something which you have never seen in a Moto phone previously. Looking at the design, we can easily say that Motorola has moved away from its traditional design, which we have seen until now in the previous Motorola phones. Motorola One Vision is an Android One device, that means this device is guaranteed to receive updates for the next two years. With the introduction of Motorola, One vision is destined to take on its closest Chinese rivals, who are ruling the Indian market. From the first look, we can say that looks are quite stunning and amazing. With this new phone, we can’t complain that Motorola phones are not appealing or stylish. It has got a narrow bezel display, but the display is not completely bezel-less. However, with the hole punch display, the screen appears much bigger than its size. It has 6.3-inch full-HD+ screen with 1080×2520 pixels. The screen comes with the corning gorilla glass screen. At this price point, the display is good enough. Motorola has already named it as a Cinemvision display.
The new phone is powered by octa-core Samsung Exynos 9609 SoC, which is clocked at 2.2GHz. It will have Mali G72 MP3 GPU, which definitely improves the graphics performance of the mobile. Mali G72 MP3 GPU is predominantly used in the midrange phones or high-priced budget phones and is known for good performance. You can’t really compare it with the premium flagships but it definitely does a good job at this price. We can tell you, that you play some resource hungry games without any form of lag, but that is something which is not guaranteed. The phone will have 4GB memory. Now after speaking so many good points about the phone, this is the first odd point about this phone. Today, even budget phones under 10K have got 6GB internal memory, Hence, with 4GB memory, this phone might not appeal to the young users, who load their phones with tons of applications. You can also experience lags when multiple applications are working in the ground. To be honest, at this price range we never expected a phone with 4GB RAM, and not to say Motorola heavily disappoints its fans on this.
Motorola is weighing heavily on the camera of Motorola One Vision. In fact, it is one of the selling points of this mobile. At the rear of the phone, the dual camera setup is stacked vertically on the top left. Even the capacitive fingerprint sensor is also located at the rear. The rear camera will have a 48 MP primary sensor, with an aperture of f/1.7. While the secondary sensor will have a 5MP lens. The secondary sensor is meant for depth mapping. From the image samples, we have observed, that the camera performs quite well in low lighting conditions. The front camera comes with a 25 MP lens, which is aided with Pixel Binning, that ultimately ensures some impressive selfies. One must admit, that Motorola has tuned the cameras well for this mobile. The camera looks to be rock solid, and it could be touted as the biggest improvement which Moto has brought for this mobile.
The phone will be shipped with the latest Android, that is Android Pie or Android 9.0. Motorola One Vision will be equipped with Dolby Audio, which guarantees stellar audio performance. The frame is made up of plastic and didn’t look that sturdy. Plastic frames are not common these days, as most of the manufacturers opt for metal frames with plastic casing. The phone will be shipped with 3500mAh battery and will have 15W TurboPower Charging, that is meant for a quick charge. This is a dual SIM phone, with each of the slots can accommodate one Nano SIM. It has got 128 GB of storage, and one can expand the storage through external memory cards. The memory can be expanded up to 512 GB. The phone supports face unlock support. In terms of connectivity, it has 4G VOLTE/LTE, GPS, Bluetooth 5.0, Wi-Fi. It also has all the popular sensors. The phone will be exclusively sold through Flipkart, and one can also buy with 6 months EMI. It will be available in two colors, Bronze Gradient, and Sapphire Gradient.
